There needs to be more sensitivity training for their employees about diversity in their customers so that they can clearly treat minorities with respect and fair treatment as the counterparts. I would certainly not recommend this establishment for future business. Discrimination and bigotry should have no place in our society, and it is not acceptable. He offered no customer service response to put us at ease when I voiced my thoughts about racism. He should have expressed his concern and acknowledged both of us, reassuring both that we would be taken care of. What annoyed me was that the couple seated behind us was escorted to the main dining area on the first floor and clearly they did not have a reservation either and we were there before them. He did return to say that he had made arrangements for us on the 2nd floor. I had to ask to the waiter for alternative seating since we had not yet finished our meal. However, it weather changed and it was clear that rain was about to begin. We did not have a reservation and was seated in the outside dining, which was not a problem. The only friendly face was our minority counterpart that was clearing. The waiter seemed like he was forced to serve us. This was the first ever experiencing a hint of racism in southwest Florida. Even though there was a great band playing we promptly left this new make shift high school cafeteria. 4 tables of high school kids walked in and was able to take up the remaining tables. Signs all over the bar area says no one under 16 allowed in the bar. Technology could be great but in this case too frustrating, too slow, and too time consuming.
After giving our dinner orders the server came back and told us they were out of about 4 things we ordered and we had to start all over again.

Why can’t you just write it down first to be quick and then punch it in a testy iPad later? It is torture to be wanting a drink and you’re at the mercy of a server standing there complaining about how to work an iPad. A table of 5 people took us 17 minutes to give our drink and dinner order because of the iPad “rules.” It was a downer for sure. You cannot be talking to friends at a table and then have more friends come in and sit at the bar you are told bar or table but you can’t mingle because “it messes them up.” Servers have to take your table orders on an iPad and it’s by the far the most time consuming thing ever. You never know who to ask for something and when someone asks you if you need anything you have to explain your situation to them from the beginning taking up more time than if you just had one designated server. I know it’s designed so that everyone is waiting on you but that makes it. Lots of room, very relaxing, the outside area alone is amazing but there is just something always off.
